Review: Sannino Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio 2009 Bianco – Just released at LBCO

10 Oct

Back in May I wrote about a fantastic experience wine tasting on the slopes of Vesuvius – you can read about it here. I’m happy to say that one of Mr. Sannino’s wines has been released LCBO for all my friends in Ontario to enjoy.  And, there is a fantastic review in today’s Toronto Star by Gord Stimmell – Wine Critic, giving it a score of 90.  Personally, I found the wine to be very floral, full of violet notes.  But I’m not a wine critic – you can see his wine below.  I hope you like this, and I would love to see his Sannino Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio Rosso, and Gragnano (a delicious, slightly-effervescent red) at LCBO in the future!

Sannino Lacryma Christi Del Vesuvio 2009 Bianco $18.95 (Italy)

This tears of Christ from volcanic slopes of Vesuvius shows lime, banana, peach and bubble gum, and flavours brimming with pineapple and apricot. The limestone-infused finish is fab.

LCBO #233882
